ARRIVE CLEAN
For facial treatment, please arrive with clean skin free from:
Makeup
Sunscreen
Serums
Creams
Oils
Self-tanner
For scalp or hair treatment, please arrive with a clean scalp and avoid:
Dry shampoo
Hair fibers
Hairspray
Gel or styling products
Scalp oils
Unnecessary topical products immediately before treatment
To reduce excessive irritation, stop strong exfoliating or sensitizing products before treatment.
A conservative patient-facing recommendation is to avoid for approximately 1 week before treatment:
Retinol
Prescription retinoids such as tretinoin
Glycolic acid
Salicylic acid
Other AHAs/BHAs
At-home chemical peels
Physical scrubs or aggressive exfoliating devices
Exosome-based therapy is frequently used as an adjunct to another procedure. Therefore, preparation will depend on whether you are receiving:
Microneedling
RF microneedling
HAIR PRF
Another treatment recommended by your provider
The pre-treatment instructions for your primary procedure always take priority.
Avoid waxing, threading, depilatory creams, or other aggressive hair removal on the treatment area for about 7 days beforehand.
Do not arrive with sunburned or significantly irritated skin.
Use broad-spectrum sunscreen consistently before your appointment and tell us if you have had substantial recent sun exposure.
An active cold sore or herpes outbreak
Open wounds, cuts, or abrasions
Active bacterial, viral, or fungal infection
Significant skin irritation or sunburn
A flare of eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, or another inflammatory skin condition
Recently undergone another aggressive facial treatment
Recently started or changed prescription acne or skin medications
A known allergy or sensitivity to peel ingredients
Any significant change in your health or medications
Treatment may need to be postponed until the skin has fully recovered.
Your aftercare depends primarily on the procedure performed with the exosome-based product.
Microneedling, RF microneedling and scalp procedures have different recovery requirements.
Always follow the procedure-specific instructions provided by Elcin Aesthetics in addition to this guide.
Do not rub, scratch, pick or unnecessarily touch the treated area.
Because recommended contact time and cleansing instructions may vary according to the specific product and procedure, do not wash the treatment area or apply additional products until the time instructed by your provider.
Do not immediately layer:
Retinoids
Exfoliating acids
Scrubs
Strong vitamin C preparations
Fragranced products
Essential oils
Unapproved topical treatments
over recently treated skin or scalp.
Use only the products recommended to you during the initial recovery period.
If your exosome-based product was used with facial microneedling or RF microneedling, you may temporarily experience:
Redness
Warmth
Mild swelling
Tightness
Sensitivity
Dryness
Mild flaking or rough texture
These symptoms are often associated with the accompanying procedure itself rather than specifically with the exosome product.
During the initial recovery period:
Keep your skincare simple and gentle.
Avoid picking or peeling flaking skin.
Avoid aggressive exfoliation.
Avoid excessive heat.
Avoid sauna and steam rooms.
Avoid strenuous exercise until permitted by your procedure-specific instructions.
Avoid swimming until the skin barrier has recovered.
Minimize direct sun exposure.
Once appropriate for your procedure, use a broad-spectrum sunscreen consistently.
If exosome-based therapy was incorporated into a scalp treatment:
Avoid scratching or rubbing the treated scalp.
Avoid picking at treatment sites.
Avoid applying unnecessary styling products immediately afterward.
Follow your provider's instructions regarding when you may shampoo your hair.
Avoid aggressive scalp massage during the early recovery period.
Avoid hair coloring, bleaching or irritating chemical scalp treatments until your provider tells you it is appropriate to resume them.
we may recommend that you continue treatment at home with serums to continue strengthening the follicle.
Your provider may recommend a specific at-home hair or scalp serum as part of your treatment plan.
Use your recommended product exactly as directed and begin or restart it according to the timeframe provided after your procedure.
Hair restoration is a long-term process. In-office treatments should not be viewed as a substitute for evaluating and treating the underlying cause of hair loss when appropriate.
Keep your skin clean.
Use a gentle cleanser if instructed.
Use a simple, non-irritating moisturizer.
Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen as directed.
Keep your hands off the treated skin as much as possible.
Allow any flaking to shed naturally.
Picking, peeling, scratching, or rubbing the skin
Strenuous exercise and heavy sweating
Saunas
Steam rooms
Hot yoga
Excessive heat
Direct prolonged sun exposure
A 24-hour break from strenuous exercise is commonly recommended, with longer avoidance if the skin remains red or irritated.
For BioRePeel alone, I recommend avoiding makeup for approximately 24 hours, especially if the skin is irritated.
If BioRePeel was combined with microneedling, be more conservative and wait until the skin barrier has settled — typically at least 24 hours and potentially longer depending on redness and sensitivity.
Use clean applicators when makeup is resumed.
For approximately 1 week, AND until your skin is fully calm and intact, avoid:
Retinol and retinoids
AHAs
BHAs
Glycolic acid
Salicylic acid
Benzoyl peroxide if irritating
Scrubs
Exfoliating brushes
At-home peels
Strong vitamin C if it stings
Fragranced or irritating products
Use a gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and broad-spectrum sunscreen.
We advise avoiding acids and retinoids for approximately 7 days.
Sun protection is essential during your treatment series.
Use broad-spectrum SPF 30–50+ daily and limit prolonged direct sun exposure.
Do not intentionally tan or use tanning beds while your skin is healing.
FACE + SKIN
Immediately after treatment, depending on the procedure performed, your skin may look pink or red and may feel warm, tight or sensitive.
Over the following several days, you may experience temporary dryness, mild flaking or a rough texture while the skin recovers.
Early clinical studies of exosome-based therapies have reported improvements in measures such as:
Hydration
Elasticity
Appearance of fine lines
Texture
Pigmentation
Overall skin appearance
However, study designs and products vary considerably, and long-term evidence remains limited. These outcomes should therefore be viewed as potential improvements rather than guaranteed results.
Hair restoration develops slowly because hair follicles progress through natural growth cycles.
Published clinical studies of exosome-based hair therapies have reported potential improvements in hair density and/or hair thickness in selected patients, but evidence remains preliminary and treatment protocols are not standardized.
Hair treatment results can be affected by:
Cause of hair loss
Genetics
Hormonal factors
Age
Follicle viability
Nutritional status
Medical conditions
Medications
Severity and duration of hair loss
Consistency with home treatment
Exosome-based therapy does not guarantee new hair growth.
Patients with unexplained, sudden, patchy or progressive hair loss may require further medical or dermatologic evaluation.
Results develop gradually and vary from person to person.
For skin rejuvenation, some patients may notice improved hydration and a healthier-looking glow within the first few weeks. Changes in texture, fine lines, elasticity, and overall skin quality may continue to develop over the following 4–12 weeks.
For hair restoration, patience is important. Hair follicles follow a natural growth cycle, so visible changes may take several months. Some patients may notice reduced shedding or improved hair quality within 6–12 weeks, while improvements in fullness or density may take 3–6 months or longer.
Your results will depend on your individual skin or hair concerns, the procedure performed, your underlying hair-loss pattern, and consistency with your recommended at-home regimen.
Exosome-based therapy does not guarantee a specific result or timeline.
Mild redness, tightness, dryness, sensitivity, or light flaking can be expected after treatment and should gradually improve.
